Remember Jlamprang Village’s Primary School? Together with you, we’ve successfully renovated 2 rooms that were at risk of collapsing - allowing 1st and 2nd graders to return to school safely.

Inspired by how far your support can go here, we decided to reopen the fundraising. Because there’s still a lot to be done:

Meet SD Jlamprang

Parts of the village’s only primary school had developed dangerous cracks during the pandemic - making it impossible for some of the students to return.

Now, after successful renovations, laughter fills the classrooms once again.

We had the privilege to meet these extraordinary teachers. Deeply committed to their students, they go out of their way to provide the best education possible every single day.

The result: Despite their lack of funding (the school is predominantly supported by humble community contributions), Jlamprang’s kids are consistently in the top percentiles of their district.

The Next Step

Seeing how far your support can go, we decided to reopen the fundraising. Because even with the two rooms restored, Jlamprangs children still do not have enough space to learn and play.

This second phase will create additional capacity at SD Jlamprang:

  • 2 new rooms for the kids and the teachers, so they no longer have to take turns learning

  • A safe playground so the kids no longer have to play and do PE on the nearby street.
