Building Back Better: A New Training Program for Women

The pandemic has left women in Indonesia’s villages more vulnerable than ever. That’s why we are rolling out a new, ambitious training program, reaching 120 women over the next two years.

Especially in rural Indonesia, it’s been the women who had to carry the burden of the pandemic. In addition to homeschooling their kids, many had to step up and become the family’s primary breadwinner.

Yet with limited education, their options are few – forcing them to take on whatever work they could find, at wages that are barely enough to feed their children.

Together with you, we want to change that.

This year, we’re rolling out our most ambitious training program yet – reaching 120 women across 5 villages on 3 islands. From Central and East Java to Bali and East Nusa Tenggara.

Together with you, we make sure these women know their rights, earn a better livelihood and become more resilient in the face of future challenges.
