We set out to end the exploitation of indigenous women in rural Indonesia - empowering those who are the most vulnerable: women, working from home, in Villages, not factories.
Focusing on agriculture and craft, we ensure living wages while also finding ways to protect the environment.

Denica Flesch
FOUNDER & CEO
As a development economist, Denica saw first-hand the challenges faced by women in last mile communities throughout her native Indonesia. This drove her to build a bridge, connecting you with the women who have been kept invisible for too long. Her two favorite things are research and fieldwork to meet the Ibus. -

Bertram Flesch
CHIEF OF SUSTAINABILITY
Bertram pushes the boundaries of sustainability by building partnerships to create climate positive clothes. Originally from Germany, he has spent over a decade in Indonesia. His experience working in vocational education reform has been crucial in the development of Rumah SukkhaCitta's curriculum. His favorite thing is our Ibus' homemade snacks.

Anastasia worked as a fashion designer in London and Bali, now she helps our Artisans create products that are relevant & contemporary. It is through her work that our artisans can create stable demand for their fabrics and continue to thrive.

Sebastian’s work merges innovation and heritage crafts through bringing relevance to our culture. He develops designer textiles that make SukkhaCitta’s clothes meaningful. As a practicing contemporary artist, he finds purpose in creating education curricula to help Indonesia's craftswomen grow.

Building Craft Schools
Without fair access to the market, over 2 Mio craftswomen in Indonesia struggle to feed their children - while polluting their homes with toxic dyes and chemicals.
We introduce new designs, business skills, quality control and environmentally friendly practices - so the women can earn a living wage while protecting the planet. -
Regenerative Agriculture
We introduce simple farming practices that go beyond organic - regenerating the soil so it can hold more water and absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Through organic fertilizer, no tilling and intercropping, we boost smallholder farmers’ income and make them more resilient against climate change.
